Taiwanese Puppet Festival

November 5, 2016 - November 6, 2016

$16 – $18

The Museum of Anthropology (MOA) at UBC is pleased to present two days of public performances on November 5 & 6, 2016 as a part of the playful and insightful Taiwanese Puppet Festival.

MOA has invited two award-winning puppetry ensembles from Taiwan, The Happy Puppetry Company and Puppet & Its Double Theatre, who will share their unique traditional and contemporary approaches to puppet theatre. The festival will also feature an exciting cultural exchange on November 6 at 3pm, when visiting Taiwanese puppeteers and First Nations artist Connie Watts will perform a collaborative experimental work.

The festival is a featured event in Spotlight Taiwan, which explores Taiwanese culture as expressed through its arts. Spotlight Taiwan is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
