Stinging Nettle as Culture Connector – Saturday April 7 from 1 – 2 pm

The Museum of Anthropology (MOA) at UBC invites you to take part in a hands-on conversation about the nettle plant with Tracy Williams and Sharon Kallis on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 1pm – 2 pm.

Stinging nettle is used around world for food, clothing, fibre and medicine, and is native to Europe, Asia, northern Africa, and western North America. Hear stories about working with nettle and learn about the thigh rolling technique traditionally used for net making.
